Hiking Holidays
... as far as our legs will take us.
Our region offers more than 500 kilometres of hiking routes that lead through stunning countryside, making it an ideal destination for leisure hikers and families as well as experienced mountaineers.
There is something to suit every taste here. There are suitable hiking trails for children as well as themed hikes and attractions. The Engalm, the oldest alpine village in Europe, with its show dairy, or the family hiking trail through the Wolfsklamm gorge are particularly worth a visit.
The region also organises adventure tours for youngsters several times a week, giving them the chance to explore nature together with their parents (family programme from July to August).
Curious hikers and experienced mountaineers are spoiled for choice in our high-mountain region. The various hiking routes are graded according to difficulty. Experienced mountaineers, for example, can tackle the Stanser Joch, which involves a climb of more than 1,500 metres.
Whatever your preference – a challenging climb or family-friendly hike – we are happy to advise you.
