No winter holiday in Tyrol is complete without a toboggan ride. With a total of 15 toboggan runs, the Karwendel Silver Region is a true sledding paradise. We not only have runs to suit all ages and abilities, we also hold an extra special record: the longest toboggan run in Tyrol (the second longest in the whole of Austria!) high above the silver town of Schwaz. This is a toboggan experience of a lifetime that you will never forget!
The toboggan track starts at the Hecherhaus on the Kellerjoch, the mountain station of the local ski resort at 1,887 metres above sea level, and leads you nine kilometres down into the valley, where you finally land directly at the next attraction – the medieval castle of Freundsberg.
Our toboggan track has even been awarded the Tyrolean natural toboggan track seal of quality and is a guarantee for snow safety.
